I'm Nico, a Software Engineer who loves building smart and scalable solutions. I have 18 years of experience in the digital world, with the last 5 years dedicated to working with technologies like Next.js, React, Node, GraphQL, and TypeScript, to transform ideas into reality. I solve problems by building solutions through a blend of creativity, logic, technology, innovation, and effective communication.

What are my core values? Well, I could hand over my CV to ChatGPT and let the bot generate something generic (💩), but I believe what truly defines me is better captured by the following storm of principles and values:

• Reading is the key to unlocking the doors to the countless rooms and hidden spaces within our mind. Here are a few of my favorite books so far: "The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale", "Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki", and "The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous".
• Everything that happens to you is your responsibility = We become what we think about = A man's life is what his thoughts make of it.
• Advocate of Blockchain as a technology for decentralization, transparency, and empowerment; it promotes social change by redistributing power, reducing corruption, and providing opportunities for underserved communities, ultimately driving prosperity and equity worldwide.
• Supporter of remote work; I'm not a fan of most meetings, and Agile methodologies sometimes bore me.
• Survivor in a polarized, manipulative, and ever-changing world, guided by reading, learning, critical thinking, dissent, family as my driving force, and intuition as my compass.
• Saying I do "intermittent fasting" is the perfect excuse to stay at my desk and keep working (partially kidding, but...partially true)
• I enjoy setting up my workspace with the care and precision of an engineer (a slightly obsessed one).
• Father, husband, and a believer in the power of family as the foundation of love, support, and growth.
• I see refactoring as essential for maintaining clean, scalable, and high-quality code, ensuring long-term value and maximizing the developer experience, ultimately leading to a better product in the long run.
• Ah, I almost forgot some hobbies: kitesurfing, dancing salsa, reading, biking, cooking, and spending time with family. I'm also thankful to God that my job is one of my hobbies.
